Hello, most units on high will be loud. Most units are expected to run 24x7 on medium or low. However, when a unit is running on low the delivered CFM (cubic feet per minute) drops dramatically. The Bedroom Machine is about 52 dB on medium and 62 on high. The CFM (delivered) is 125 on medium and 250 on high.
