Hello, The ES3X is hardwired. Yes, it does make noise est 66-86 dB from 6 ft away. You can find more details under the specs tab and more info tab found here.
The unit is 2000 delivered CFM so the air changes an hour per a given space would be dependent on the speed and the size of the room. There is an optional controller for the unit to have variable speed.
