Hello, The lights are subtle. It does have a UV-C in it, but it is contained to the inside of the unit. There are a couple of indicator LEDs on the outside of the unit that would show in a dark room, but it is not a huge display.
Are you thinking of using this in a bedroom? The sound level is 45-67 dBs.
