Hello, there are predominantly 3 configurations for this unit.

- HEPA (the unit shown) with a filter that has carbon sprayed on it. We refer to this as light protection from VOCs, odors, and gases.
- Pleated inner filter: The next step up has a pleated filter with carbon pellets imbedded on the fibers of the pleats.
- Carbon canister: This is another level up and contains carbon pellets in the inner canister.
- Lastly, this is used whent he focus is VOCs, chemicals, gasses and not particulate matter. Clients remove the HEPA from the unit and insert a 30 lb carbon canister called an Ultra. We refer to this as HEAVY VOC filtration.
