Hello, normally, yes the red light will go out as the air quality improves. The center light is red when the air quality is poor. If the unit is on auto, typically, it will increase in speed till the issue is resolved too. Once the air improves the light will change to yellow (moderate air) or green (healthy air).
It is not uncommon for it to be red initially.
