Hello, the AllerAir AirMed 1 would be too small for an oil painting studio to properly filter the VOCs and would not contain enough carbon (Carbon is what filters VOCs). Given your studio is around 200 sq ft and we will assume 10 ft ceilings- 2000 cu ft. The recommended bare minimum air changes per hour is 6-10 ACH for low solvent setup,15-20 ACH for heavy solvent setup. One AllerAir AirMed 1 would achieve 5.1 air changes per hour. You could do a quantity of 2 units to filter more effectively, or a higher powered AllerAir with more carbon such as the AirMedic Pro 6. That unit would achieve 16 air changes per hour and contains 39 lbs of carbon compared to the AirMed 1's 7 lbs of carbon.
